My older home has rusty water. What does that mean?
Brown or rusty water, especially first thing in the morning, usually comes from galvanized steel pipe corroding inside. We test to confirm the source, and the lasting fix is replacing the galvanized lines.
Do newly built homes need leak detection?
They can. New homes leak at fittings that were not fully made up, or where a nail or screw was driven into a pipe during construction. Those leaks are found with the same equipment used in older homes.
